I worked at the eagles for a while and they built a wheelchair ramp for a local disabled person

Frequently, yes. Contact the local Senior Center for information.

Many counties get money set aside to help the disabled. I would contact your county agencies or social services . and see what they can do for you. You can also try Town Halls, Villages, Who ever you pay taxes to,they must have a department to aid you.I know in Nassau County, they have it.

Yes, the help is people like you. Get going. Get a church group, or school or work group together to raise money with small fund raisers, use the proceeds to buy the materials to build the ramps. Work together to make them, then deliver them to needy people.

there is a bunch of carpenters that do it here on “Long Island”, they never charge anybody, they won’t leave a bill, or take a deposit. “Murphy Bros.” construction corp.

yes there is, in every state there is a mayor office which is a city office.Call you mayor city office and ask for the department of ageing or disability which ever one applies to you. Explain to them your needs.ect, if you need food, housekeeping, finacial help with utilitys, ect. you will be asign a case manager. the city will build you a ramp or lift, there is no cost to you depending on income, but dont worry about that please call your mayor office. God bless you.

Don’t know where you are located but try your city’s community development center, local senior center, AARP, look on-line for rebuildingtogether.org. Look in the white pages in Govt section also. Good luck
